Description:

ebv-circRPMS1 is an EBV-encoded circRNA upregulated in EBV-associated gastric carcinoma. It functions as an oncogenic circRNA by promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, tumor growth and metastasis while inhibiting apoptosis. Mechanistically, it binds Sam68 and promotes Sam68-dependent METTL3 transcription, increasing m6A-related activity; clinically, high ebv-circRPMS1 expression is linked to distant metastasis and poor overall survival.
