High circRNA_100876 expression is associated with poor clinical outcome, shorter overall survival, shorter disease-free survival, tumor differentiation, vascular invasion, tumor size, T stage, lymphatic metastasis, and distant metastasis; it may be a diagnostic and therapeutic biomarker for CRC.
circRNA_100876 is upregulated in colorectal cancer tissues and cell lines, and high expression is associated with worse clinicopathological features and poor survival. Functionally, circRNA_100876 promotes CRC proliferation, migration, invasion, metastasis and EMT while suppressing apoptosis, at least partly by targeting miR-516b.

Dysregulated circRNA_100876 contributes to proliferation and metastasis of colorectal cancer by targeting microRNA-516b (miR-516b).
