Description:

circ-AXL is up-regulated in amyloid beta-induced cellular AD models. It aggravates neuronal injury and neuroinflammation by sponging miR-328 and thereby increasing BACE1 expression, leading to increased apoptosis and inflammatory cytokines and reduced neurite outgrowth. The circ-AXL/miR-328/BACE1 axis is proposed as a potential therapeutic target in Alzheimer's disease.
