This study identified hsa_circ_0065149 as a SETD2-derived circRNA that is down-regulated in gastric cancer tissues and early gastric cancer plasma exosomes. Its expression is clinically associated with tumor diameter, perineural invasion, diagnostic ROC performance, and overall survival, with high expression indicating poorer survival. Bioinformatics analyses suggest a potential circRNA-miRNA-mRNA regulatory role involving hsa-miR-197-5p, hsa-miR-222-3p, hsa-miR-330-5p and hsa-miR-486-3p during gastric carcinogenesis.
