circRNA-disease information
Expression pattern:
UP
Associated gene: -
Associated microRNA: hsa-miR-4482-3p, hsa-miR-146a-3p
Biological function: Potential serum diagnostic biomarker for NSCLC; serum levels could discriminate NSCLC from healthy, pneumonia, and benign lung tumor conditions, but were not correlated with assessed NSCLC clinical parameters.
Molecular mechanism: Predicted circRNA-miRNA ceRNA-related regulatory network; the underlying mechanism was not experimentally elucidated.
Biological pathway or process:

ceRNA regulation (other)

Detected method:
Q
Validation methods:

RT-qPCR; Clinical Sample Validation; ROC Analysis; Bioinformatics Analysis

Clinical significance:

hsa_circ_0003317 discriminated benign lung tumor from NSCLC with AUC 0.659; the combination hsa_circ_0008167 + hsa_circ_0003317 had AUC 0.847, but hsa_circ_0003317 was not correlated with assessed clinical parameters.

Description:

hsa_circ_0003317 was up-regulated in serum from NSCLC patients and showed diagnostic value for distinguishing NSCLC from benign lung tumor, especially when combined with hsa_circ_0008167 or the selected miRNAs. Unlike hsa_circ_0008167, hsa_circ_0003317 was not significantly associated with the assessed clinicopathological parameters in NSCLC.

Confidence score:

0.459
