Description:

circYap is downregulated in OSCC tissues and cell lines, and low expression is associated with advanced clinicopathological features and decreased overall survival. Functionally, circYap suppresses OSCC cell proliferation and arrests G1/S cell-cycle progression. Mechanistically, circYap binds CDK4, inhibits Cyclin D1/CDK4 complex formation and nuclear translocation, and thereby represses cell-cycle progression.
