| Clinical significance: |
Exosomal circHIPK3 was increased in serum of PCa patients and could discriminate PCa patients from normal volunteers. |
| Description: |
Exosomal circHIPK3 is up-regulated in serum exosomes from prostate cancer patients and in exosomes from PCa cells. It promotes PCa cell proliferation, migration, invasion, metastasis and tumor growth while suppressing apoptosis, mainly by sponging miR-212 and modulating BMI-1 expression through the miR-212/BMI-1 axis. Its serum exosomal expression also shows diagnostic potential for distinguishing PCa patients from healthy volunteers. |
