Description:

circARHGAP29 is an ARHGAP29-derived human circRNA that is upregulated in prostate cancer, especially docetaxel-resistant PCa cells and clinical samples. EIF4A3 promotes its biogenesis and cytoplasmic export, while circARHGAP29 enhances docetaxel resistance and aerobic glycolysis by interacting with IGF2BP2, stabilizing LDHA mRNA, and stabilizing c-Myc mRNA/protein to increase LDHA transcription. Clinically, elevated circARHGAP29 is associated with higher Gleason grade, advanced tumor stage, and poorer response to docetaxel therapy.
