circACVR2A is up-regulated in HCC cell lines and promotes HCC malignant phenotypes (proliferation, migration, invasion) while inhibiting apoptosis. Mechanistically, it sponges miR-511-5p, derepressing miR-511-5p targets and activating PI3K/AKT/FOXO1 signaling, thereby promoting tumor growth in xenograft models.
