circMTO1 expression correlated with Enneking stage; patients with low circMTO1 expression had significantly shorter overall survival time; circMTO1 may have diagnostic and therapeutic potential in osteosarcoma treatment.

Description:

circMTO1 is down-regulated in osteosarcoma tissues and cell lines, and low expression is associated with poorer overall survival. Functionally, circMTO1 suppresses proliferation, migration, invasion and metastasis-related behavior while promoting apoptosis. Mechanistically, it acts through a ceRNA-like miR-630/KLF6 axis, increasing KLF6 expression by sponging miR-630.
