circRNA-disease information
Expression pattern:
DN
Associated gene: EGFR, p38, cyclin D1, E-cadherin
Associated microRNA: -
Biological function: Overexpression of circ_4911 inhibited proliferation and migration of HUVECs, arrested cells at the G0/G1 stage, and promoted adhesion under an HCC microenvironment.
Molecular mechanism: circ_4911 overexpression suppressed activation of EGFR and p38 and reduced cyclin D1 expression, while increasing E-cadherin expression.
Biological pathway or process:

EGFR (inhibits); MAPK (inhibits); proliferation (inhibits); migration (inhibits); cell cycle (inhibits); other pathway/process (promotes)

Detected method:
Q
S
Validation methods:

RT-qPCR; RNA-seq; Transfection; MTT; Transwell Assay; Cell Cycle Assay; Western Blot; Bioinformatics Analysis

Clinical significance:

May provide new targets for HCC therapy; tissue validation and correlation with clinical characteristics remain to be analyzed.

Description:

circ_4911 was one of the most significantly downregulated circRNAs in HUVECs exposed to an HCC microenvironment. Its overexpression inhibited endothelial proliferation and migration, induced G0/G1 arrest, promoted adhesion-associated E-cadherin expression, and suppressed EGFR/p38 activation, suggesting a regulatory role in HCC-associated endothelial cell dysfunction and angiogenesis-related processes.

Confidence score:

0.5067
