circRNF121 expression was associated with tumor size, TNM stage, and distant metastasis; circRNF121 might be a novel therapeutic target for cervical cancer.
circRNF121 is up-regulated in cervical cancer tissues and cell lines and is mainly localized in the cytoplasm. It promotes malignant progression by sponging miR-153-3p, increasing ATF2 expression, and activating the Wnt/beta-catenin pathway, thereby enhancing proliferation, migration, invasion, EMT, autophagy, and tumor growth. Its expression is associated with tumor size, TNM stage, and distant metastasis, suggesting potential therapeutic relevance.
