circRNA-001241 is up-regulated in HCC tissues and sorafenib-resistant HCC cells and is associated with poor prognosis. It promotes proliferation, metastasis, and sorafenib resistance while suppressing apoptosis, mainly by acting as a ceRNA for miR-21-5p to increase TIMP3 expression. Knockdown of circRNA-001241 enhances sorafenib sensitivity in vitro and in a cell line-derived xenograft model. |
