circ-ABCB10 expression was positively correlated with histological grade and tumor size, and the study suggests it may be a promising biomarker and therapeutic target for HCC.
In this study, circ-ABCB10 is downregulated in HCC tissues and cell lines and acts as an anti-oncogenic circRNA. Its overexpression suppresses proliferation, migration, invasion, colony formation and xenograft tumor growth while promoting apoptosis. Mechanistically, circ-ABCB10 sponges miR-340-5p and miR-452-5p to upregulate NRP1 and ABL2, suggesting a potential biomarker and therapeutic target role in HCC.
