| Biological function: |
promotes GBC cell proliferation and growth by up-regulating Pol I activity and rDNA transcription |
| Molecular mechanism: |
circERBB2 accumulates in nucleoli, interacts with PA2G4, regulates nucleolar localization of PA2G4, and enhances TIFIA/Pol I interaction to promote rDNA transcription |

| Clinical significance: |
Increased expression of circERBB2 is associated with worse prognosis of GBC patients. |
| Description: |
circERBB2 is up-regulated in gallbladder cancer and promotes tumor cell proliferation and xenograft growth. Mechanistically, it accumulates in nucleoli, binds PA2G4 and enhances PA2G4 nucleolar localization, strengthening the PA2G4/TIFIA/Pol I machinery to increase rDNA transcription (45S pre-rRNA). High circERBB2 expression is associated with worse overall survival in GBC patients. |
