Description:

circPUM1 is upregulated in ovarian cancer tissues and promotes proliferation, migration, invasion and metastasis while inhibiting apoptosis. Mechanistically, it functions as a ceRNA sponging miR-615-5p and miR-6753-5p to increase NF-kappaB and MMP2 expression, and it is also secreted via exosomes to act on peritoneal mesothelial cells, inducing MMT and enhancing peritoneal dissemination.
