CircRPN2 is a human HCC-associated circular RNA that is downregulated in metastatic or recurrent HCC and in highly metastatic HCC cell lines. It suppresses aerobic glycolysis, proliferation, migration, invasion, progression, and metastasis by binding ENO1 to promote ubiquitin/proteasome-dependent degradation and by sponging miR-183-5p to increase FOXO1 expression. Clinically, higher circRPN2 expression is associated with better survival and lower recurrence, supporting its role as a prognostic biomarker and potential therapeutic target.
