CircLRP6 has diagnostic potential for OS, and high circLRP6 expression is associated with shorter disease-free survival and overall survival; circLRP6 expression is an independent risk factor for OS prognosis.
CircLRP6 is up-regulated in osteosarcoma tissues and cell lines and high expression predicts poor survival. Functionally, circLRP6 promotes OS cell proliferation, migration, invasion and cell cycle progression while inhibiting apoptosis. Mechanistically, it binds LSD1 and EZH2 to suppress tumor-suppressor genes KLF2 and APC, contributing to OS development.
