circRNA-disease information
Expression pattern:
DN
Associated gene: -
Associated microRNA: miR‐630
Biological function: Associated with less advanced Enneking stage, good neoadjuvant chemotherapy response, and longer disease-free survival in osteosarcoma patients.
Molecular mechanism: Negative correlation with miR-630 in tumor tissue; potential miRNA sponge relationship suggested but not experimentally validated in this study.
Biological pathway or process:

not specified

Detected method:
Q
Validation methods:

RT-qPCR; RNase R Treatment; Clinical Sample Validation; Survival Analysis

Clinical significance:

Lower in tumor vs adjacent non-tumor tissue; higher tumor expression associated with less advanced Enneking stage, good neoadjuvant chemotherapy response, and longer disease-free survival (DFS).

Description:

In osteosarcoma patient tissues, circ-MTO1 is down-regulated in tumors versus adjacent non-tumor tissues. Higher tumor circ-MTO1 levels correlate with milder disease (lower Enneking stage), better neoadjuvant chemotherapy response, and longer DFS, and circ-MTO1 is negatively correlated with miR-630 expression.

Confidence score:

0.5261

Other information
Title:

Circular RNA MTO1 intercorrelates with microRNA-630, both associate with Enneking stage and/or pathological fracture as well as prognosis in osteosarcoma patients.
