It acts as a tumor suppressor by binding AUF1, promoting AUF1 nuclear translocation, destabilizing MTHFD2 mRNA, lowering MTHFD2 and vimentin expression, and thereby inhibiting proliferation, migration, invasion, EMT, and metastasis.
