circRNA-disease information
Expression pattern:
DN
Associated gene: p53, p21, runt‐related transcription factor 3
Associated microRNA: miR‐424, miR‐761
Biological function: Promotes chemosensitivity to doxorubicin; associated with reduced tumor stage and better prognosis in breast cancer.
Molecular mechanism: not specified
Biological pathway or process:

drug resistance (inhibits)

Detected method:
Q
Validation methods:

RT-qPCR; RNase R Treatment; Clinical Sample Validation; Cohort Study; Survival Analysis; Transfection; CCK8

Clinical significance:

Higher tumor circ-LARP4 correlates with increased DFS and OS; potential prognostic biomarker.

Description:

circ-LARP4 is down-regulated in breast cancer tumor tissues and breast cancer cell lines compared with controls. Higher tumor circ-LARP4 levels are associated with earlier stage and better DFS/OS. Overexpression of circ-LARP4 increases doxorubicin sensitivity in MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 cells.

Confidence score:

0.6866
