Description:

circVAPA (hsa_circ_0006990), derived from VAPA, is up-regulated in CRC tissues and plasma. It promotes malignant phenotypes of CRC cells by enhancing proliferation, migration and invasion while inhibiting apoptosis, at least partly through sponging miR-101. Plasma circVAPA shows diagnostic potential for CRC and its high level is associated with unfavorable clinicopathologic features.
