Description:

In irradiated human hepatic stellate cells, circRSF1 is up-regulated and promotes an inflammatory phenotype. Mechanistically, circRSF1 binds the RNA-binding protein HuR, reduces HuR binding to IkappaBalpha mRNA, down-regulates IkappaBalpha, and activates the NF-kappaB pathway, leading to increased IL-1beta, IL-6 and TNF-alpha production.
