Description:

circPRKCI is down-regulated in serum from urosepsis patients and in LPS-treated HK2 cells. Functionally, circPRKCI overexpression protects HK2 cells from LPS-induced injury by improving viability, suppressing apoptosis, and reducing inflammatory cytokines. Mechanistically, circPRKCI acts through the miR-545/ZEB2 axis and inhibits NF-kB pathway activation.
