Description:

This study identified cZNF609 as an up-regulated circRNA in inflammation-induced lymphangiogenesis using microarray profiling and validated its elevation by qRT-PCR in inflamed HLECs, mouse corneal LG models, and human inflamed corneas. cZNF609 was mainly cytoplasmic and RNase R-resistant, and the authors proposed that it may act as a miR-184 sponge to regulate HPSE expression and lymphangiogenic processes, although the direct sponging mechanism requires further verification.
