Description:

circ-PITX1 is upregulated in glioma tissues and cell lines, and its high expression is associated with larger tumor size and advanced WHO grade. Functionally, circ-PITX1 promotes glioma cell growth, migration, and invasion while inhibiting apoptosis. Mechanistically, it acts as a ceRNA by sponging miR-518a-5p to relieve repression of IL17RD, forming a circ-PITX1/miR-518a-5p/IL17RD oncogenic axis.
