circRNA-disease information
Expression pattern:
UP
Associated gene: KRAS
Associated microRNA: miR-877-5p
Biological function: promotes the proliferation, migration, and invasion of CC cells in vitro and the growth of CC tumors in vivo
Molecular mechanism: ceRNA mechanism: circ_0039787 sponges miR-877-5p to relieve inhibition of KRAS
Biological pathway or process:

proliferation (promotes); migration (promotes); invasion (promotes); metastasis (promotes); ceRNA regulation (promotes)

Detected method:
Q
M
Validation methods:

Microarray; RT-qPCR; RNase R Treatment; Actinomycin D / DRB Stability Assay; Nuclear-Cytoplasmic Fractionation; Transfection; CCK8; EdU Staining; Colony Formation Assay; Wound Healing Assay; Transwell Assay; Luciferase Reporter Assay; Western Blot; IHC (Immunohistochemistry); In Vivo Animal Model; ROC Analysis; Bioinformatics Analysis; Clinical Sample Validation

Clinical significance:

ROC curve analysis demonstrated the diagnostic value of circ_0039787 in CC; circ_0039787 could serve as a promising diagnostic biomarker and potential therapeutic target for CC patients

Description:

circ_0039787 is up-regulated in cervical cancer tissues/serum/cell lines and acts as an oncogenic circRNA. It mainly localizes to the cytoplasm and promotes CC cell proliferation, migration, invasion and xenograft tumor growth by sponging miR-877-5p, thereby increasing KRAS expression (circ_0039787/miR-877-5p/KRAS ceRNA axis). It also shows diagnostic potential by ROC analysis in patient serum.

Confidence score:

0.8427

Other information
