| Description: |
circMTUS1 is a human MTUS1-derived circRNA that is upregulated in conjunctival melanoma tissues and cell lines. Functional loss-of-function experiments showed that circMTUS1 promotes conjunctival melanoma proliferation and tumor growth in vitro and in vivo. Mechanistically, circMTUS1 may act as an Ago2-dependent miRNA sponge for hsa-miR-622 and hsa-miR-1208, thereby influencing tumor-associated pathways such as MAPK and Wnt signaling, and it may serve as a novel biomarker for conjunctival melanoma. |
