circ-ERBB2 upregulation was associated with tumor size, depth of invasion, TNM stage and poorer overall survival in gastric cancer patients.
circ-ERBB2 is up-regulated in gastric cancer tissues and cell lines, and high expression is associated with aggressive clinicopathological features and poor overall survival. Functionally, circ-ERBB2 promotes gastric cancer cell proliferation, migration and invasion and suppresses apoptosis. Mechanistically, it acts as a miRNA sponge for miR-503 and miR-637 to regulate CACUL1 and MMP-19 signaling.

Upregulation of circular RNA circ-ERBB2 predicts unfavorable prognosis and facilitates the progression of gastric cancer via miR-503/CACUL1 and miR-637/MMP-19 signaling.
