This study reports hsa_circ_0086720 as dysregulated in gastric carcinogenesis: decreased in GC/EGC tissues but increased in EGC plasma. It supports clinical utility as a plasma biomarker for early GC screening (ROC AUC 0.771) and indicates prognostic relevance via OS/DFS stratification. Mechanistically, it is predicted to interact with miR-34c-5p and the miR-449 family and may be secreted into plasma via exosomes.
