Description:

circASAP1 is up-regulated in ccRCC and promotes malignant phenotypes (proliferation, migration/invasion, metastasis). Mechanistically, it binds cytoplasmic HNRNPC and modulates its ubiquitin-proteasome-related protein stability, thereby reducing GPX4 mRNA stability/protein levels and promoting ferroptosis; clinically, high circASAP1 associates with metastasis and poor survival.
