circRNA-disease information
Expression pattern:
UP
Associated gene: ALCAM
Associated microRNA: miR-148a-3p
Biological function: Promotes the migration and invasion abilities of human adipose-derived MSCs after treatment with AGS cell-derived exosomes.
Molecular mechanism: circ_0004303 acts as a ceRNA/miR-148a-3p sponge to upregulate ALCAM expression, thereby enhancing migration and invasion of human adipose-derived MSCs.
Biological pathway or process:

migration (promotes); invasion (promotes); ceRNA regulation (promotes); metastasis (promotes)

Detected method:

Description:

In this study, AGS gastric cancer cell-derived exosomes induced upregulation of hsa_circ_0004303 in human adipose-derived MSCs. Elevated circ_0004303 promoted MSC migration and invasion by sponging miR-148a-3p and increasing ALCAM expression, suggesting a mechanism by which gastric cancer cells may enhance MSC homing and tumor-promoting phenotypes.
