Description:

circDHX8 (hsa_circ_0003899) is up-regulated in gastric cancer tissues/cell lines and promotes malignant phenotypes (proliferation, migration/invasion, tumor growth) while inhibiting apoptosis. Mechanistically, it binds RNF5 to block RNF5-mediated ubiquitination/degradation of ATG2B, stabilizing ATG2B and enhancing autophagy. High circDHX8 expression correlates with advanced disease and poor prognosis.
