Description:

circMTO1 is significantly downregulated in human HCC tissues, and reduced expression is associated with poor patient prognosis. Functionally, circMTO1 acts as a tumor suppressor by sponging oncogenic miR-9, thereby promoting p21 expression and inhibiting HCC proliferation, invasion, and in vivo tumor growth while enhancing apoptosis.
