High circ-UBAP2 expression was associated with larger tumour size, advanced TNM stage, lymph node metastasis and unfavourable prognosis; circ-UBAP2 may serve as a prognostic biomarker and therapeutic target for TNBC.

Description:

circ-UBAP2 is upregulated in TNBC tissues and cell lines and high expression predicts poor overall survival. Functionally, circ-UBAP2 promotes TNBC proliferation, migration, tumour growth and metastasis while suppressing apoptosis. Mechanistically, it mainly localizes in the cytoplasm and acts through the miR-661/MTA1 ceRNA axis.
