Low circ-ITCH expression correlates with worse prognosis in ovarian cancer patients; patients with low levels of circ-ITCH had shorter overall survival.

Description:

circ-ITCH is down-regulated in ovarian cancer tissues and cells, and low expression is associated with poor prognosis. Functionally, circ-ITCH overexpression suppresses OC cell proliferation, migration, invasion, and xenograft tumor growth. Mechanistically, circ-ITCH acts as a cytoplasmic ceRNA that sponges miR-145 to increase RASA1 expression, forming the circ-ITCH-miR-145-RASA1 tumor-suppressive axis.
