circ_0001649 is a SHPRH-derived human circRNA downregulated in NSCLC tissues and cell lines. It acts as a tumor suppressor by inhibiting proliferation, migration, invasion, tumor growth and lung metastasis, partly through sponging miR-331-3p and miR-338-5p. Clinically, low circ_0001649 expression is associated with advanced TNM stage, lymph node metastasis and poorer overall survival.
