High circHMGA2 level might be related to NSCLC metastasis and poor prognosis, and circHMGA2 could be used as a prognostic marker and potential tumor marker for diagnosis and treatment.
CircHMGA2 is up-regulated in NSCLC tissues and cell lines, and high expression is associated with metastasis and poor prognosis. Functionally, circHMGA2 promotes NSCLC proliferation, migration, invasion, tumorigenesis and glycolysis. Mechanistically, circHMGA2 sponges miR-331-3p to increase HMGA2 expression, forming the circHMGA2/miR-331-3p/HMGA2 regulatory axis.
