In gastric cancer, hsa_circ_0001756 is up-regulated and promotes glycolysis and malignant phenotypes (proliferation, migration/invasion) and tumor growth. Mechanistically, it sponges miR-185-3p to increase PGK1 and also binds PTBP1 to enhance PTBP1 cytoplasmic localization and stabilize PGK1 mRNA, jointly elevating PGK1-driven glycolysis; high expression predicts poorer patient prognosis.
