HMGB3, Ago2 |
| Associated microRNA: |
miR-5195-3p |
| Biological function: |
Promotes LUAD cell proliferation, migration, invasion, metastasis and tumorigenesis, and inhibits apoptosis. |
| Molecular mechanism: |
circRUNX1 acts as a miR-5195-3p sponge to positively regulate HMGB3 through a ceRNA mechanism. |
| Biological pathway or process: |
proliferation (promotes); migration (promotes); invasion (promotes); metastasis (promotes); apoptosis (inhibits); ceRNA regulation (promotes) |

| Validation methods: |
RNase R Treatment; RT-qPCR; EdU Staining; Colony Formation Assay; Annexin V/PI Flow Cytometry; Transwell Assay; Western Blot; Luciferase Reporter Assay; RIP (RNA Immunoprecipitation); Transfection; Nuclear-Cytoplasmic Fractionation; Clinical Sample Validation; IHC (Immunohistochemistry); In Vivo Animal Model; Cohort Study; Survival Analysis; Bioinformatics Analysis |
| Clinical significance: |
High circRUNX1 expression was associated with lower overall survival, TNM stage and lymph node metastasis in LUAD patients; circRUNX1 might be a possible therapeutic target for LUAD. |
| Description: |
circRUNX1 is up-regulated in LUAD tissues and cells and high expression is associated with poorer overall survival. Functionally, circRUNX1 promotes LUAD proliferation, migration, invasion, metastasis and xenograft tumorigenesis while suppressing apoptosis. Mechanistically, it sponges miR-5195-3p to positively regulate HMGB3 through the circRUNX1/miR-5195-3p/HMGB3 ceRNA axis. |
