circ-PIP5K1A is up-regulated in ovarian cancer, especially in cisplatin-resistant tissues and cells. It promotes cisplatin resistance and malignant phenotypes by sponging miR-942-5p to increase NFIB expression, and its knockdown sensitizes ovarian cancer cells and xenograft tumors to cisplatin. The study also shows that circ-PIP5K1A can be packaged into exosomes and transferred from resistant cells to surrounding sensitive cells. |
