| Clinical significance: |
penumbra-specific transcript with diagnostic and therapeutic relevance; associated with infarct volume and penumbra size in rodent stroke models |
| Description: |
CircOGDH is up-regulated in hypoxic neurons/ischemic penumbra and becomes enriched with m6A. IGF2BP1 binds m6A-modified CircOGDH and recruits it into stress granules to stabilize it, thereby promoting hypoxia-associated neuronal injury/apoptosis in acute ischemic stroke models. |
