In TSCC, hsa-circ-0001030 is down-regulated and acts as a tumor suppressor that reduces proliferation, migration/invasion, tumor growth/metastasis, and cisplatin resistance. It directly binds PKM2 (138-169 nt), inhibits PKM2 activity and tetramer formation, increases PKM2 Tyr105 phosphorylation, and suppresses glycolysis, thereby improving cisplatin sensitivity.
