Description:

This study shows that ciRS-7 (CDR1as) is largely absent from adenocarcinoma cancer cells but present in stromal/TME compartments, with exceptions such as many breast tumor specimens. Its expression is epigenetically regulated, primarily through DNA methylation and H3K9 acetylation at the LINC00632 T3 promoter, and can be reactivated in vitro using demethylating and HDAC-inhibitor treatments.
