Description:

circCDK13 (hsa_circ_0001699), derived from the human CDK13 gene, is down-regulated in liver cancer cell lines and hepatocellular carcinoma tissues. Functional overexpression experiments show that circCDK13 suppresses liver cancer cell proliferation, migration, invasion, cell cycle progression, and xenograft tumor growth. Mechanistically, its tumor-suppressive effects are associated with inhibition of JAK/STAT and PI3K/AKT signaling, including decreased phosphorylated STAT3 and AKT.
