circSATB1 is up-regulated in elderly AML peripheral blood samples and AML cell lines. circSATB1 knockdown inhibits proliferation, causes G0/G1 arrest, and promotes telomere-independent premature cellular senescence. Predicted networks suggest possible interactions with miR-450b-5p/miR-452-5p and several RBPs, but these mechanisms were not experimentally validated.
