Description:

In colorectal cancer, circGIGYF1 is down-regulated and its low expression is associated with worse overall survival. Functionally, circGIGYF1 suppresses stemness, EMT, and metastasis. Mechanistically, it acts as a scaffold that enhances WWP2-HOXD13 interaction to promote HOXD13 ubiquitination/degradation, reducing HOXD13-driven CTNNB1 transcription and inhibiting Wnt/beta-catenin signaling.
