Description:

circ-ZKSCAN1 is down-regulated in bladder cancer and acts as a tumor suppressor. It mainly localizes to the cytoplasm and functions as a ceRNA by sponging miR-1178-3p, thereby increasing p21 (CDKN1A) and inhibiting proliferation, migration, invasion, and metastasis. Low circ-ZKSCAN1 expression is associated with recurrence and worse survival outcomes.
