circRPPH1 is up-regulated in breast cancer tissues and cells and its high expression is associated with poor prognosis, lymph node metastasis, and higher TNM stage. Functionally, circRPPH1 promotes breast cancer cell proliferation, migration, invasion, glycolysis, and xenograft tumor growth. Mechanistically, circRPPH1 sponges miR-296-5p to increase FOXP4 expression, forming a circRPPH1/miR-296-5p/FOXP4 regulatory axis.
