| Biological function: |
circ_ZNF652 positively participated in LPS-induced WI-38 cell injuries; silencing circ_ZNF652 enhanced cell proliferation and inhibited cell apoptosis and inflammatory damage. |
| Molecular mechanism: |
circ_ZNF652 acts as a sponge of miR-302e and regulates TLR4 expression through the miR-302e/TLR4 axis. |

| Clinical significance: |
circ_ZNF652 was up-regulated in serum of IP patients and may be a new target for potential therapy of IP. |
| Description: |
In this study, circ_ZNF652 was significantly up-regulated in serum from infantile pneumonia patients and in LPS-induced WI-38 cell injury models. Functional assays showed that circ_ZNF652 knockdown alleviated LPS-induced inflammatory injury by enhancing proliferation and reducing apoptosis and inflammatory cytokine release. Mechanistically, circ_ZNF652 acted through the miR-302e/TLR4 axis, suggesting potential therapeutic relevance for IP. |
